A display of up to 16 buses will be on St Georges Plateau, in front of the magnificent St Georges Hall, Lime Street, Liverpool City Centre, from 1100hrs to 1500hrs on Sunday 29 November 2009. Buses from the five Corporations that made up the MPTE and the companies that ran into the area will be represented.
Two routes will be operating using a selection of the Trust's vehicles. These routes will be as follows:
Route 100: Departing at 1200, 1300 and 1400.
Via Commutation Row, Islington, Hunter Street, Byrom Street, Dale Street, Hatton Garden, Tithebarn Street, Moorfields, Dale Street, Castle Street, Lord Street, North John Street, Victoria Street, St Johns Lane, Lime Street to William Brown Street.
Route 200: Departing at 1230, 1330 and 1430.
Via Commutation Row, Islington, New Islington, Norton Street, London Road, Pembroke Place, West Derby Street, Crown Stret, Brownlow Hill, Hope Street, Upper Duke Street, Catherine Street, Myrtle Street, Hardman Street, Leece Street, Renshaw Street, Lime Street to William Brown Street.
Jouneys at 1200, 1230, 1300 and 1330 will be operated by some of the Trust's "back loader" vehicles and the 1400 and 1430 journeys will be operated by more "modern" type rear engined vehicle(s).
Special thanks must be made to Merseytravel and St Georges Hall for supporting the event and to the owners/custodians of the visiting vehicles for making their vehicles available for display.
